Bahrain-based investment firm Investcorp has teamed up with UK-based private equity firm Coller Capital to launch a $1 billion European private equity (PE) vehicle.
Coller Capital said that it will underwrite the new fund, through its fund, Coller International Partners VII.
The transaction also consists of fresh capital for any follow-on investments and future infusions.
Following the close of the deal, Investcorp will manage both the assets acquired via the secondary transaction and the fund’s new capital.
