Canada’s Bold Commerce concludes $16.5 million Series A funding

Canadian e-commerce platform Bold Commerce has concluded with 22 million Canadian dollar ($16.5 million) in Series A funding.

The round was spearheaded by Canadian venture capital fund Whitecap Venture Partners and Round13 Capital.

With the funds raised, Bold Commerce will extend its e-commerce platforms in 2019 as well as supporting crowdfunding and transactions on streaming platforms like Twitch.

In connection with the round, Whitecap and Round13 will join Bold’s board of directors.
