China Nuclear Power Group (CGN), an energy company, has bought three solar and wind plants in Brazil from Italian power generation company Enel.

Enel divested the assets via its subsidiary, Enel Green Power Brasil Participacoes, to CGN’s unit, CGN Energy International Holdings Co.

The three assets include 292 megawatts (MW) Nova Olinda solar plant in Piaui, the 158MW Lapa solar plant in Bahia and the 90 MW Cristalandia wind farm, also in Bahia.

The transaction, which cost around 2.9 billion real ($771 million), is expected to close in the first quarter.
