Chinese photovoltaics and monocrystalline wafer maker LONGi Green Energy Technology will extend its monocrystalline ingot and wafer capacity at three sites in China with a projected $773 million pump in.

LONGi will extend its monocrystalline ingot by 6 gigawatts (GW) at facilities in Baoshan, China at $261.4 million to be carried in July 2020, and a further 6 GW at facilities in Lijiang, China at a cost of $289.5 million, which will take through May 2020.

The company will also boost monocrystalline wafer production by a further 10 GW as part of a phase 2 expansion at facilities in Chuxiong, Yunnan, China, which is expected to be completed in March 2020.

Additionally, LONGi noted it was extending monocrystalline solar cell capacity by 1GW at a new facility at the Shama Jaya Free Industrial Park, Kuching City, Sarawak, Malaysia at $125.5 million.
