Greencoat UK Wind PLC, the renewables infrastructure investment company, has closed on the acquisition of two wind farms located in Northern Ireland for 87 million pounds ($109.5 million) from the Irish Infrastructure Fund, managed by Sydney-based investment firm AMP Capital.

The two acquired assets include Church Hill and Crighshane and are expected to boost Greencoat UK Wind’s net generating capacity to 836 megawatts.

Church Hill, which has a capacity of 18.4 megawatts, is located 16 miles northwest of Omagh, in County Tyrone and Crighshane, with a capacity of 32.2 megawatts, is located 20 miles northwest of Omagh.

Irish Infrastructure Fund revealed that it will cover the cost of the deal with funds from its revolving credit facility.
