London-based biopharmaceutical company Autolus Therapeutics PLC. intends to create up to 170 jobs at its new U.S. headquarters (HQ) and facility in Rockville over the next three years.
Autolus Therapeutics will invest about $28 million in the expansion project at its Shady Grove Life Sciences Center.
The company will receive funding from Economic Development Fund and the city is providing a $525,000 for the project.
Autolus Therapeutics said that the new facility is part of a plan to roughly double its workforce from 200 employees to nearly 400 in the next 12 to 18 months.
