UK-based fibre connectivity solutions provider CityFibre has begun construction of its full-fibre network in Stirling, Scotland.

CityFibre is investing 10 million pounds ($13 million) in the network, which is being deployed as part of its partnership with UK-based telecommunication company Vodafone.

The new network will connect almost every homes and business in the city, with the first services going live in spring 2019. Work will continue through 2019 and into 2020.

Initially, CityFibre will connect the Cambusbarron area of Stirling, followed by Bannockburn in the New Year. The project will also expand the network to the Bridge of Allan.
