U.S.-based medical device company Francis Medical, Inc. announced that it has closed an $18 million Series A round of financing.

Francis Medical intends to use the funds to initiate further growth, support additional international clinical work and a U.S. investigational device exemption pilot study in late 2019.

The round included co-investments from H2Oey Ventures, an affiliate of Solas BioVentures Fund, Tonkawa and Boston Scientific.
