Kaszek Ventures, an Argentine venture capital firm, announced that it has secured $600 million for its two new funds, Fund IV and an opportunities fund.
Of the total capital, Kaszek Ventures raised $375 million for its fourth flagship fund, which will back early-stage startups, and $225 million for its first opportunities fund, expected to make later-stage investments.
Backers in the new funds include several of the largest U.S. university endowments, foundations, technology investors and many renowned local and global entrepreneurs.
The new funds, bringing Kaszek Ventures' total capital under management to roughly $1 billion, will continue and ramp up its investment in Latin American startups.
