New Zealand-based entertainment and gaming company SkyCity Entertainment Group announced that it has started the $330 million expansion on its Australia-based Adelaide Casino redevelopment with the intention to create jobs.

The new building will now continue rising and work has already started on the slab for the next level as cranes will complete more than 80,000 lifts over the life of the project with around 100 construction workers.

As a result of the expansion, Adelaide Casino will have a total of 12 unique, food and beverage outlets for its customers from accessible, affordable cafes to high-end dining experiences.

The expansion plans are expected to be complete in late 2020, boosting tourism for South Australia. Adelaide-based property developer Hansen Yuncken has been contracted to deliver the majority of works for the expansion.
