Australia's Pursuit buys Argentine pilot plant for $365,000

Pursuit Minerals Ltd, an Australian mineral exploration and project development company, has acquired a lithium carbonate pilot plant located in Argentina for $365,000.

With the acquisition of the pilot plant, Pursuit will start immediately developing a chemical process pathway that is efficient and scalable for the Rio Grande Sur Project, fast-tracking production.

With the deal, Pursuit’s primary focus and principal stage one production milestone is to produce consistent technical and battery-grade lithium carbonate equivalent production for ongoing operations.

Moreover, throughout the development stage at the plant, the company will further evaluate a circuit for lithium hydroxide production from lithium carbonate in line with the growing market demand for both products.
