Australian pay television company Foxtel has launched Australia’s sole dedicated cricket channel, Fox Cricket, as it seeks to boost subscribers, promote its 4K Chanel 444 and recoup over a $1 billion investment.

Launched at a gala event in Sydney, Fox Cricket will broadcast all formats of the game this summer, with twenty-four hours a day coverage from November 2018 to March 2019.

Fox Cricket will encompass television, digital and in-app coverage, with brands paying between $1.7 million to $2.4 million on sponsorship packs.

Selected matches will broadcast on Foxtel’s new 4K television channel Channel 444, accessible via a satellite connection and its new iQ4 set-top box. Foxtel subscribers will gain over 1,000 hours of live coverage during the summer of cricket.
