Canadian private equity firm Birch Hill Equity Partners has agreed to sell software company Sigma Systems Canada LP for C$157 million ($117 million).
Sigma Systems will be sold to Australian data management and customer care solutions provider Hansen Technologies in a deal expected to close on May 31.
The transaction will enable Hansen Technologies to extend its business of billing and customer care systems in the telecommunication and pay-TV sector.
Additionally, Hansen noted that the acquisition will boost its pro forma share of revenue from the telecommunication sector to 38 percent from a reported 17 percent in 2018.
