Belgian fabless semiconductor company Spectricity has raised 14 million euros ($16 million) in a Series B funding round.

The company received investment from Atlantic Bridge, CapricornFusion China Fund, Shanghai Semiconductor Equipment and Material Fund, and others.

Spectricity will use the fresh capital to further accelerate the development and mass production of hyperspectral sensors and imagers for high-volume, low-cost applications from wearables to smartphones and the internet of things devices.

The company will also use the proceeds from the round, which brings its total funding raised so far to $23.7 million, to hire key talent and continue to extend its partnerships.
