UK, Hull-based proptech firm Bimsense has raised an additional £750,000 in funding, bringing the total to £1.8 million. The funding round was led by NPIF – Mercia Equity Finance. Bimsense, founded by Ian Yeo and Scott Pilgrim seven years ago, specializes in building information modeling (BIM) and offers the Operance platform. Operance aids companies in complying with the Building Safety Act, introduced to enhance safety standards following the Grenfell Tower fire. The additional funds will be utilized to introduce new features to the platform, aligning with the latest regulatory measures. The Operance platform is currently employed by companies like Campden, Basildon, Harrow, and construction firms including Kier, Higgins, United Living, Vermont, and Rider Levett Bucknall. The company, which experienced a 44% turnover increase in the financial year ending in August, plans to create six new jobs in the coming year.
