Bosnia-based power company Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske announced that its hydropower unit, Hidroelektrane na Trebisnjici (HET), intends to make commitments worth 18.64 million marka ($10.9 million) in 2019.

The commitments will mainly target the construction of the 160 megawatts (MW) Dabar hydropower plant, part of a wider Gornji Horizonti hydropower project.

As part of the Dabar hydropower project, the company also intends to inaugurate a tender for partners in the funding and building of dams, buildings and channels in the coming days.

Last year, Elektroprivreda said that the 160 MW power plant is expected to bolster HET’s power production by about 50 percent.
