Electromobility startup EZvolt in Brazil has announced a $2 million investment from Vibra Ventures, the investment arm of Vibra, the country's largest distributor of petroleum derivatives and biofuels. Building on Vibra's initial investment of $1 million a year and a half ago, this capital infusion will drive projects such as launching ultra-fast electric charging stations in Rio de Janeiro and participating in the Sandbox Rio innovation initiative. EZVolt plans to venture into carbon credit generation through fleet replacement and further expand its footprint in the vehicle charging market, focusing on innovative charging solutions for various types of vehicles. Established in 2019, EZVolt operates across 13 states, deploying over 600 chargers and facilitating around 16,000 battery recharges monthly.
