Brazilian electric power transmission facilities operator Transmissora Aliança de Energia Elétrica SA has agreed to acquire investment holding company J&F Investimentos SA’s transmission lines.

Under the terms of the deal, Transmissora Aliança de Energia Elétrica will pay approximately 942.5 million reais ($240.9 million) to J&F Investimentos.

Subjected to Brazilian antitrust watchdog approval, the transaction will close as soon as possible.

J&F Investimentos previously divested its control of Brazilian apparel and shoemaker Alpargatas SA, dairy producer Vigor Alimentos SA and pulp maker Eldorado Brasil Celulose SA.
