Brazilian startup Caliza has successfully raised $5.3 million in seed funding, with a focus on providing API infrastructure for banks and fintech companies to transact in U.S. dollars. The funding round was spearheaded by Better Tomorrow Ventures and Abstract Ventures, attracting a diverse group of investors and industry experts. The funds will be directed towards team growth and the development of new financial services, including U.S. Treasury bill access and international credit cards. Caliza, founded in 2021, aims to broaden its services beyond Brazil, with plans to enter the Mexican market by early 2024 and extend its reach across Africa and Southeast Asia.
