Canadian thermal carbon black manufacturer Cancarb has announced a $40.1 million expansion scheme in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Cancarb revealed that it will be constructing a sixth thermal carbon black production unit in Medicine Hat.
The sixth facility, which will lead to a renovation of a recently acquired warehouse on land adjacent to the company's current warehouse, will add 9,000 metric tonnes of capacity to produce the company’s Thermex carbon black.
The scheme is predicted to start construction right away and is expected to be wrapped up by summer 2020.
