Canadian clean energy company Carbon Engineering Ltd. has raised $68 million in an equity financing round.
Carbon Engineering will use the money raised to commercialize and enter mainstream markets with its fully demonstrated direct air capture technology.
Additionally, the company also intends to use the new capital to extend its pilot plant in Squamish, British Columbia, and the engineering of the first commercial facilities.
The round included the participation of new private backers including international energy companies and top venture capital firms.
