Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPPB) plan to invest over half of the $3.08 billion that the Triton consortium agreed to pay for British satellite telecommunications company Inmarsat PLC.

CPPIB said that its financial investment will be about $900 million, or around 29.27 percent of the total amount.

Whereas, OTPPB has agreed to provide 24.39 percent of the consortium’s commitment which would be around $750 million.

The funds managed by British private equity firm Apax Partners and U.S. peer Warburg Pincus will have 24.39  and 21.95 percent stakes respectively.
