Canadian natural gas distribution company Enbridge Inc. is planning to invest $1.8 billion in its expansion projects.

With its growth projects and organic expansion plan, Enbridge will invest $600 million for a 22.75 percent stake in the Gray Oak Liquids Pipeline, which is currently under construction and expected to begin service in late 2019.

Enbridge will also infuse $265 million in the acquisition of existing liquids pipeline and terminal assets connected with Canadian energy company Athabasca Oil Corp.’s Leismer steam-assisted gravity drainage oil sands assets.

Additionally, Enbridge will spend approximately $800 million on four gas transmission expansion projects coming into service in 2020 to 2023.
