Canadian frozen potato products producer McCain Foods has committed $75 million in infrastructure investments for its Portage la Prairie and Carberry, Manitoba facilities.

With this investments, McCain Foods expects to strengthen its potato processing presence in Western Canada.

McCain has invested a $45 million in the Portage la Prairie facility, consisting of installation of the new high-efficiency potato sorting system, as well as cutting-edge processing and packaging equipment, and over $30 million investment has been committed to the Carberry plant from 2016 to date.
