Canadian National (CN), a railway company, aims to infuse around $245 million across Quebec in 2019 to bolster its rail network throughout the province.

CN said that the commitments will reinforce rail transportation in Quebec and the role of Greater Montreal as a hub for intermodal transportation in Eastern Canada.

More so, the move will help facilitate the transit of agricultural and food products between regions, while enhancing safety.

The investment is part of the company’s 2019 $3.9 billion capital commitment targeting enabling development from all commodity segments, including consumer goods and energy products from all of its customers, safely and efficiently.
