A fund managed by BentallGreenOak (BGO), a Canadian real estate investment management firm, has purchased a stake in Sun Life Financial Centre, a Class A office complex in Ottawa.

Sun Life Financial Centre consists of two towers joined by an atrium, that is, the 15-storey tower at 99 Bank St., built in 1977, and the 17-storey tower at 50 O’Connor St., constructed in 1984.

The fund owned by BentallGreenOak, part of SLC Management, acquired a 50 percent stake in the property from Alberta Investment Management Corp. in a $207.5 million deal.

More so, the other 50 percent in the 950,000-square-foot property is owned by Canada-based Sun Life Assurance Co.
