Agrosuper, the Chilean food producing unit of investment management company Promotora Donihue Ltda, has acquired Salmones Friosur, a salmon division of seafood producer Friosur S.A., and two other firms for $229 million.
The other two firms that Agrosuper bought were Piscacola Hornopiren and Salmones Frioaysen.
The purchased companies have licenses for 40 salmon farms in Chile's Aysen region.
Earlier this year, Salmones Friosur was put up for divestment as Friosur S.A opted to instead focus on its fishing business.
