Chinese tyre manufacturing company Roadbot has started construction of its 2.2 billion dirhams ($614.37 million) tyre manufacturing plant in Kizad, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The plant project, called Roadbot Tire Project Kizad, is being constructed in China-UAE Industrial Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Zone in line with international standards and equipped with the latest modern solutions in tyre production.
The factory, which will be spread across 275,000 square meters, will have an initial annual production capacity of 3 million passenger car radial (PCR) tyres and 1 million truck and bus radial tyres.
Production at the factory is expected to increase to 10 million PCR tyres and 1 million truck and bus radials by 2022. Roadbot Tire Project Kizad is anticipated to be fully operational by October 2020.
