Shanghai-based Synyi, an artificial intelligence-powered medical data solutions provider, has secured $36.32 million in a Series C financing round.

The funding round was co-led by China’s internet giant Tencent and healthcare private equity firm Sinopharm Capital.

Synyi intends to use the new funds to accelerate the development of smart medical solutions, attracting more top artificial intelligence and medical talent to the company, while also maintaining technology and product leadership.

The startup, with about $4 million in revenue annually, has raised a total of $81.1 million in over six funding rounds.
