British geospatial technology startup SenSat has raised $10 million in its Series A investment round.

Led by Chinese artificial intelligence to technology company Tencent Holdings, the funding round also had participation from Sistema Venture Capital.

In connection with the new funding, Tencent Holdings will be joining the SenSat board of directors.

SenSat intends to use the new funds to recruit data scientists, mathematicians and software developers and drive its global expansion.
