Creature Comforts, a UK, London-based operator of tech-enabled veterinary clinics, has raised $8.5 Million in seed funding in a round led by Torch Capital, Hanaco VC, and Boost Capital Partners, with additional contributions from Active Partners, Tarek Abuzayyad of Initial Capital, and Steve Rosengarten of Vet One. Founded in 2023 by Dan Attia and Russell Welsh, Creature Comforts is poised to introduce a novel approach to veterinary services with the integration of cutting-edge technology into physical clinic locations, enhancing the overall pet care experience. The initial phase of the plan involves opening two clinics in London in 2024, each featuring a subscription model, state-of-the-art facilities designed with pets in mind, and innovative tech solutions. The funding will be instrumental in establishing, staffing, and equipping these clinics, with the first location set to launch in St. John's Wood early next year, followed by another prime London branch. Additionally, Creature Comforts will allocate resources to develop a proprietary app, allowing their in-house tech team to provide round-the-clock virtual care, support customer inquiries, and enable flexible, remote work options for veterinarians. This move is aimed at ensuring pet owners have swift and unlimited access to expert veterinary care beyond standard operating hours.
