A distinguished delegation of prominent Egyptian Food Manufacturers is currently in Nairobi, Kenya, exploring potential trade collaborations. The delegation includes key players in Egypt’s food industry, such as Pasta and Concentrates giant, Egyptian Swiss, Fruit juice processing expert Juhayna Foods, Snack manufacturing powerhouse Edita Foods, and renowned tomato paste specialist Agthia Foods. Presently engaged in business-to-business discussions at the Serena Hotel, the delegation aims to strengthen ties between the two nations. Egypt’s Ambassador to Kenya welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the benefits of swift sea transport from Cairo to Mombasa and encouraging exploration of this route for increased trade.

CIB Kenya CEO highlighted the bank's role in providing strategic advice to empower businesses to fully exploit existing trade opportunities between Kenya and Egypt. Kenya and Egypt maintain robust trade ties, with trade volume reaching $663.6 million in 2022, witnessing a 4.1 percent increase from the previous year. The Egyptian ambassador addressed the trade imbalance, attributing it to goods exported through the Mombasa port destined for other landlocked countries in East and Central Africa.
