Egyptian digital healthcare platform Almouneer has successfully raised a $3.6 million seed round investment to support its mission. Led by Dubai-based Global Ventures and featuring participation from renowned international investors, including Proparco, Digital Africa through the Bridge Fund, Wrightwood Investments (UK), and others, this funding comes as Almouneer continues to make significant strides in the healthcare sector. The platform, which serves over 120,000 patients, offers a patient-centric digital lifestyle and diabetes management platform called DRU. DRU focuses on the prevention and management of diabetes, pre-diabetes, and obesity, with plans to serve millions of individuals in the Middle East and Africa. Almouneer plans to enhance DRU's technology and expand its provider network with this funding, as well as develop MEA's first online, patient-customized treatment plans.

The company's strategic expansion includes market entries in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and African countries, addressing the pressing need to empower patients and healthcare professionals in a region with high levels of obesity and prediabetes.
