Ezz Steel Group, headquartered in Egypt, has invested approximately $5.9 billion in its steel complexes located in Sokhna, Dekheila, and Sadat City. The Business Development Manager revealed that the company achieved exports of about $1.5 billion in 2023, with an anticipated increase to $1.75 billion by the end of 2024. Ezz Steel exports its products to thirty five countries, including Spain, Italy, the U.S., and Turkey. In 2023, the company's total steel production reached 6.2 million tons, encompassing 2.8 million tons of long steel reinforcement, 2.3 million tons of hot-rolled flat steel, and 800 thousand tons of steel wire coils. The company, with a workforce of around ten thousand people, half of whom are engineers and technicians, is committed to utilizing clean energy in its operations.

During a tour by the Prime Minister of Egypt to industrial projects in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, the Minister highlighted the commissioning of a new smelting furnace with an investment cost of approximately $161.8 million. The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy expedited the approval of the company's request for 200 megawatts of electrical energy within a month. The new furnace, contributing an annual production capacity of 1.6 million tons of liquid steel, is dedicated to bolstering export operations. It also manufactures 2.3 million tons of hot-rolled flat steel for applications in home appliances, automotive components, shipbuilding, containers, gas cylinders, metal structures, water and gas pipes, and gas and petroleum tanks.
