The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), based in Egypt, marks the commencement of the Indian Platinum Pvt.Ltd factory's construction in Orascom Industrial Parks, Sokhna. Covering a 10,000-square-meter area, the facility specializes in additives and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride stabilizers production, with an initial investment of $6 million. SCZONE, in collaboration with Indian Platinum, aims to localize the manufacturing of these essential products to meet the demands of the local market, striving to produce 30,000 tons of additives and stabilizers annually.

This project aligns with the growing need for PVC stabilizers in Egypt, projected to reach 15.5 thousand tons by 2027, reflecting India's significant $3.3 billion investments in Egypt, particularly in the manufacturing sector. Indian Platinum plans to export 70 percent of its products globally while reserving 30 percent for the local market, with an anticipated operational launch within eighteen months. This initiative underlines the cooperative efforts between Egypt and India, with SCZONE playing a pivotal role in attracting foreign investments and promoting industrial growth in the region.
