Electra, a Paris-based provider of a charging network for electric vehicles, has raised €304 million in equity funding. The round was led by PGGM, with participation from Bpifrance, Eurazeo, RIVE Private Investment, the SNCF group, and Serena. Electra plans to utilize the funds to expand the deployment of its charging stations. The company offers a network that allows electric vehicle owners to reserve charging points, making it convenient for users to find a station near their home and optimize charging during daily activities. Electra is also a preferred partner for professionals with many rotations, such as delivery drivers and taxis. The company is present in eight countries, including France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and Spain, with nearly 1,000 charging points already deployed.
