Filatex India Ltd., a synthetic man-made fibres manufacturer, aims to infuse about 400 crore rupees ($58 million) in extending the capacity of its plants in Dadra and Dahej.

Filatex has set aside $39.8 million to augment the yarn manufacturing and polymerization capacity of its plants from 32.8 million metric tonnes per annum to 36. 5 million metric tonnes by next year.

Additionally, the company plans to establish up a 30-megawatt captive power plant, expected to be operational by 2020, with a commitment of $21 million, to reduce its energy costs.

Filatex India said that the environmental clearance for the plant is in the advanced stage.
