France’s AEW raises additional $194.1 mln for RESIDYS fund

France's AEW Capital Management, LP., the real estate asset management arm of Natixis Investment Managers, has announced the completion of a further fundraising for RESIDYS, a fund targeting residential real estate assets in France, predominantly in the Paris region, raising 165 million euros ($194.1 million) from institutional investors.

With a strong pipeline of potential investment opportunities, the new equity will enable AEW to continue implementing the fund’s strategy and take advantage of the positive momentum in the French residential real estate market.

This latest fundraising involved a combination of three new investors including a Dutch pension fund, an Italian insurance company and a German pension fund, with two existing investors increasing their equity commitments in the fund.

This funding takes the RESIDYS’ total commitments to approximately $377.2 million. It also increases the total investment capacity of the fund to over $589.4 million.
