French private equity firm Ardian will spend 300 million euros ($341 million) in a wind farm project in Harjedalen, Sweden.

The wind farm project, which will be operational in 2021, is expected to produce in excess of 800 gigawatt-hour per year.

Ardian is also seeking to extend its footholds in the Nordic renewable energy market where governments have committed to switching away from fossil fuels.

The firm noted that the infusion in Harjedalen is a major step in launching a new investment platform for sustainable energy in the Nordics.
