French private equity firm Astorg announced that it had reached an agreement to acquire a majority stake in health devices manufacturer Nemera from UK-based Montagu Private Equity.

The value of the deal topped 1 billion euros ($1.15 billion).

Nemera is expected to post earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation amortization of $80.5 million.

Astorg was advised by U.S.-based financial services company Citigroup and peers Latham & Watkins, while HSBC, Morgan Stanley and Weil Gotshal advised Montagu.
