French specialist software and technology licensing company Inside Secure revealed that it has inked to buy U.S. content security services provider Verimatrix.
Inside Secure will pay a net $143 million cash, plus an earn-out of $9 million in the second quarter of 2019.
The deal increases Inside Secure size and broadens its security portfolio beyond wireless and connected devices to the entertainment market.
Inside Secure noted that the combination will provide it with a boosted scale to develop its existing business as well as build on the combined company's significant penetration in the entertainment market. The deal is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2019.
