French infrastructure projects investor Meridiam has completed additional funding for its Meridiam Infrastructure Africa Fund with an investment of 546 million euros ($614 million).

The fund, which exceeded its initial target of $572.6 million, has already funded and developed 14 major projects for Africa amounting to over $3.3 billion.

The reopening of the vehicle was subscribed to by 50 percent of the historical and existing partners.

Meridiam said that the Africa Fund reflects its ambition, strategy and expertise to develop and infuse in sustainable and resilient infrastructure projects that improve the quality of people’s lives and provide them with essential services.
