VINCI Energies and Senelec have entered a 200 million euros ($219.3 million) contract to construct electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure in Senegal. The French authorities will contribute to the financing of the project. Over three years, the initiative will employ over one thousand people and include the construction of 1,350 kilometers of high-voltage and very-high-voltage overhead and underground transmission lines, connecting thousands of homes. Eight very-high-voltage transformer stations will also be built, accompanied by improvements to the grid management system, incorporating remote operation management and defect detection capabilities. VINCI Energies’ French and Moroccan subsidiaries will train and support local teams. This project is part of Senegal's broader plan to expand its transmission and distribution grid, aiming to enhance energy capacity by 2026 and achieve universal access to electricity.

VINCI, a global concessions, energy, and construction player with over two hundred seventy-two thousand employees across one hundred twenty countries, is committed to environmentally and socially responsible practices. The company's involvement in the Senegal project aligns with its dedication to creating long-term value for customers, shareholders, employees, partners, and society in general.
