German railway company Deutsche Bahn plans to plug its financing gap via the divestment of its UK-based public transport unit, Arriva international.
The divestment of Arriva could secure between 4 billion to 4.5 billion euros ($4.6 billion to $5.2 billion).
The deal is subjected to Deutsche Bahn’s supervisory board over the idea of selling Arriva.
In 2017, Deutsche Bahn generated $48.9 billion in revenue.
