German dairy company DMK Group, a subsidiary of Deutsches Milchkontor eG, has inaugurated a new high-technology baby food facility in Strückhausen.

DMK invested 145 million euros ($164.2 million) in the new plant which will act as the main production site for its Humana baby food brand.

The new facility will also be capable of processing up to 40 million kilograms of GM-free milk per year once the site is fully operational.

The company said that the investment has outfitted the facility with modern technology, high-quality infrastructure and energy-saving processes and equipment, guaranteeing that baby milk formula produced at the site will consist of the highest-quality powder.
