German manufacturer of rolling element bearings Schaeffler has announced that as part of its future program, Agenda 4 plus One, the company would be investing 60 million euros ($69.6 million) to set up a new state-of-the-art development building and automotive original equipment manufacturer headquarters in Bühl.

Covering an area of 23,400 square meters, the new headquarters will accommodate office space for as many as 500 employees, a spacious conference area, a canteen and prototype construction and test rig facilities.

The new building is expected to set new standards in industrial design. It is expected that the center will create 350 new jobs, mainly in the field of electric mobility, over the next few years.

The building is also expected to break new ground when it comes to networking and the new work office concept an open, modern workplace design that provides functional areas.
