German technology to automotive company Siemens plans to construct a bogie service center (BSC) on Waterside South in Lincoln, UK with 8 million pounds ($10 million) pump in.

At the facility, work will focus on the servicing of the Velaro Eurostar e320 and Thameslink Desiro City Platform bogies and also include overhauls to Desiro Classic bogies.

The move follows Siemens’ plans earlier this year to build a new train factory in Goole, East Yorkshire.

The new BSC is set to create up to 40 skilled jobs by the end of 2019.
