T-Mobile, a German mobile communications subsidiary of telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom AG, announced that it intends to spend $160 million on the renewal of its Bellevue headquarters (HQ).

The project is expected to take about three years, will strengthen T-Mobile's commitment to remain in the region if its proposed merger with U.S. peer Sprint goes through.

The renewal will mostly modernize T-Mobile’s offices, creating open and adaptable office space for employees and adding perks, including a do-it-yourself bike repair station, a gastropub and dry-cleaning drop-off.

Earlier this year, T-Mobile said that it would acquire Sprint in a deal worth about $26.5 billion.
