Jolt Energy, a German electric mobility company, has secured 150 million euros ($164.2 million) in a fresh funding round.

The funding was provided by InfraRed Capital Partners, a UK-based infrastructure investment company.

The finances raised from the latest round will enable Jolt Energy to usher its battery-buffered ultra-fast charging stations to urban areas across Europe and the U.S.

Moreover, the company also intends to use the proceeds to build up to five hundred charging stations over the next five years, with fifty of them expected to be operational by the end of the year.
