U.S.-based technology giant Google has announced the completion of business park acquisition in Mountain View to expand its office presence.

Google purchased the Britannia Shoreline Technology Park, a 51.8-acre space, right across and larger than the company’s current Googleplex.

The company said that the $1 billion purchase price from U.S.-based real estate developer HCP Inc., makes it now the Bay Area’s largest real estate transaction of 2018.

With this acquisition, Google will be able to better renovate its properties in the future. Earlier this year, Google bought Chelsea Market for $2.4 billion.
